It took about 3 days and was frustrating for my husband at times but it is so well made and looks awesome. Look forward to getting full use out of it next year. Don't forget to take the film off the roof panels!

We love the gazebo and we were very fortunate to have 6 of my husband’s close friends who have lots of experience building things and it took them 8 hours for them to assemble it and they also love the gazebo too. The gazebo is a great addition to our property and it’s quality will last a very long time!
Order process was very easy. Delivery was quick, and everything was well packaged. Assembly went fairly well, considering we are two 63 year old people putting this up. Total about 16 hours. But that time could have been cut down dramatically had we not had issues with the plastic cling wrap on all of the roof panels. It was not easy to pull off. That may have been the most frustrating part of the construction. Instructions to assemble are basic, and some of the pictures don't make sense until you get the pieces in hand. But all Instructions seem to be like this now. The quality seems good. We have another brand of gazebo up beside it (10 × 12), and comparing the two, the 10 x 12 has a more robust build. The corner posts are bigger and all of the top rails are double wood rails. The Sunjoy gazebo has single top rails, which is concerning considering the longer span on this 16 x 12 gazebo. The smaller posts aren't a concern. Hopefully we get years of use out of this new addition to our backyard. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend purchasing from Sunjoy.
This is a beautiful addition to our cottage. It’s very sturdy and will hopefully endure our northern Alberta winters. Assembly was well handled by my 4 adult children in about 5 hours. The toughest part was peeling the film of each piece off the tin roof! Love it and plan to have many good times under this shelter for years to come.

Great gazebo easy to put together(all screws, no nuts and bolts like others which is a pain). Great rain performance good drainage etc. Giving it 4 stars since it doesnt provide very good shade from the direct sun in low wind conditions. The dark roof gets so hot that it radiates downward to those below seeking shelter.....makes it even hotter. I covered my roof with reflective garage door insulation and it greatly improved the sun shelter performance. Also keeps the propane heat in much better when your looking for shelter from the cold. Looks ridiculous but oh well. Overall Im satisfied now after the modification.
We bought this in a rush to shade our BBQ island for the 4th of July. It arrived quickly and took 2 men , 2 days to build. Fairly easy. The gray faux wood posts are durable high quality, but light weight. The color is pleasing.
Just put it together and overall it seems great. Had a couple of defect but nothing that was too crazy. Shipping experience was great. Instruction manual could be better to help with easier installation.

I'm very happy with my Sunjoy gazebo. Assembly wasn't difficult, but it did take some time.. having two people on hand made the process much smoother. The structure feels solid and well-designed. I especially love the size, which provides ample coverage for outdoor gatherings, and the two-tier roof that adds both style and ventilation. One of the standout features for me is the built-in curtain rods, such a thoughtful detail that makes adding curtains or netting incredibly easy. Overall, a great investment that enhances both the functionality and aesthetic of my outdoor space.

We are very happy with the purchase of this beautiful gazebo. My husband and I assembled it within 2 days. The directions were pretty straightforward and the hardware all separated very clearly. The only hiccup we had is that one of the post was not pre-drilled on the right side, but we were able to make do and pre-drill it correctly. We live in the country with very high winds and this gazebo is holding up very well.
Love it! Super easy directions, it took 3 of us about 7 hours. It's only been a few days but it looks great.

This gazebo is beautiful. We decided to hire someone to build it. Would highly recommend unless you are really good with construction. We had 3 carpenters and it took them 6 hours. Done in one day. They said the roof was the only really tricky part but went smooth. Loved the final product.

Gazebo arrived within 2 weeks. Packaging was stellar. The build was decently easy. I did notice that one roof by panel was slightly damaged and two roof panels had tire marks on them (probably from being ran over at the factory by a forklift). Other than that, I love the gazebo! Exactly what my backyard needed.
This sunjoy gazebo comes with a metal roof, making it durable to withstand both hot summer days and cold heavy snowfall winters in my area. My favorite feature is the built-in rails to attach bug screens or curtains.

If we could have given a 4 1/2 Star Review, that would have better reflected how we feel about this Gazebo/Pavilion. We decided to take the time to paint all of the wood with a high quality exterior paint so that it looked like it fit better within our backyard. We put the first coat on, let it dry, used 00 Steel Wool and smoothed down all of the raised wood, then applied a second coat and it made all of the wood pieces nice and smooth. The build went pretty smooth with just my wife and me. We anchored it to our concrete slab. As another reviewer previously pointed out, We felt the weakest part of the entire build was the use of plastic push pins to attach the top edge of the metal roof to the roof bracing on the bottom tier. That alone kept us from giving this kit a 5 star rating. To correct this design flaw, we bought stainless steel #14 x 3/4 self tapping hex head steel screws with a flat washer to replace the flimsy plastic push pins that were supplied with the kit. I am attaching photos so you can see Sunjoy's push pin designed and how we improved it and made the roof more secure and stable against higher winds. We would recommend this kit. But, highly recommend making this modification. We chose Stainless Steel so the screws won't rust and make the roof look bad.
Really surprised with the quality. Came in two boxes on a pallet, with everything well labeled. We watched a You Tube installation beforehand which was very helpful. It took three people a total of 10 hours to assemble. We all agreed it was sturdy, well-designed, and harder than Legos but easier than IKEA! Seriously, great quality product that looks awesome.
Very well packed and all the parts and pieces fit great. Installed a lot by myself but you really need two people. I stained ours black to match landscaping. Can't wait to add the lights. Would definitely recommend this unit.
Bought this about 2 weeks ago. Spent about 2/5 hours over 2 days to build all the wood parts. One board was split. They replaced it within a week. Then yesterday myself, wife, son, and neighbor put up the 4 legs, I attached the side pieces while they held everything steady. My son helped me put the frame in place for the top roof. I did the complete rest by myself. 6 hours yesterday and 3 hours today. So, including building the wood parts, about 12 hours total, most by myself. There are no written instructions, but the drawings are great. If you carefully follow the drawings, you will do just fine. The drawings were amazing. Showed all the holes, so you can't go wrong. They even highlight areas that would otherwise be tough to see.
We absolutely LOVE our 12x16 gazebo! It took my boyfriend 2 days by himself (he refused to ask for help) but if you have a couple people, or 5 people like the instructions suggest, it could easily be done in 3 or 4 hours! We love in the Pacific Northwest and it's great to sit under during a good storm!
The product is good quality easy to assemble just to pay attention to the identification of parts to avoid errors. Communication with the manufacturer is excellent. Some screws are missing to fix the ceiling, but they give you extra screws. If you're going to fix it on the floor, I recommend it in the end.

very well engineered and pretty straight forward . All measurements and bolt holes were bang on. I would suggest a string gauge to measure the exact distance of te 4 posts during asembly to ensure they are square. This step is very very important to get right on

We love this! We had no shade in our backyard and this gives us shade over our table and chairs. It is constructed well and all of the pieces were there. We had somebody put this together for us. We are in our 70's and felt it would be too much for us to put together ourselves.
